Daniela Buhagiar was born in Mosta, Malta in 2001. She is a student partaking in the Fine Art Course at the MCAST Institute. Within the three-year course, she was introduced to different techniques that directed her to discover her ideal medium.
Daniela’s work can be summed up as figurative art. However, she likes to manipulate the form and transform it into a semi-abstract drawing. She experiments with various media, however, most of her works are paintings. Daniela’s approach is to compile experimental work in journals before moving on to the main production of artwork. The journals themselves can be standalone artworks.
Her outcomes are mostly large-scaled because it will give the viewer a challenge to discover the hidden message that is compassed within the figures. Currently, she is building an installation that will be exhibited in the street at Belvedere Rabat. Furthermore, she presented many artworks at the halls of the MCAST school in Mosta.
